How Much Is My Subaru Forester Worth?

I like buying Subarus as I have said before.

And I am particularly good at answering “How Much is My Subaru Forester Worth?”

But first let me explain some of the factors that will most certainly effect either how much you get – or how much you don’t get for your car.

First and foremost, how many kms has it done?

The higher the kms the less it is worth.

A very distinct point of difference in the used cars buying market is 200,000kms.

Generally speaking cars that have done more than 200,000kms are punished.

But this is negated somewhat if you have a good service history.

Again, if your Subaru Forester has no books or a record of consistent maintenance throughout its life, then your car will be worth up to many thousand less than market value.

Even if your Subaru has high kms, if it has been well maintained, it will be worth more to me and any other potential future end use buyer.

A car that has been well maintained is usually in better all round condition. It shows people look after their Subarus.

It should go without saying, but if your car has dents/scratches or the gearbox makes funny noises, it clearly won’t be worth as much as the next one I see that doesn’t!

These are the main points but every car needs to be assessed on its merits.

And I’m happy to do this.
