Car Photography Brisbane

This post is mostly about car photography in Brisbane and how I use it to my advantage and how you can too.

If you have read any of my other posts in this blog you will know it can be a lot of work to sell a car fast in Brisbane.

There is more than meets the eye to think of.

Some of these things are:

  • Roadworthy certificate (aka safety certificate).
  • Cleaning up and/or detailing your car.
  • Advertising.
  • Repairs.
  • Having people making appointments to view then cancel!
  • Having time wasters low-balling you on price even before they’ve seen the car.

And of course the big one – photography.

Most people take out their mobile phone, take a few shots in the sun and post their ads up for sale on CarSales.

Do a search and you will see Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferarris with TERRIBLE photographs.

Which is quite amazing really.

Even if your car is average, generally you will have literally dozens of other similar (or same) cars you are competing with.

Having nice and carefully produced photos is one easy way to stand out from the crowd.

I mentioned it before a- taking photographs in bright sunlight.

Sure it can make a car’s colour stand out, but there are usually shadows and unwanted sun spots and overexposure blow outs.

Interior shots look terrible when taken in direct sunlight.

If you have a really nice car, or even an average car you want to stand out from the pack when selling it, get a professional photographer to do the photos for you.

I generally do car photography Brisbane myself, but not when I have a special car to sell.

Then I bring in the pros.

And it isn’t as expensive as you might think.

They get the light right by usually taking the shots at dawn or dusk.

The above example is a BMW X3 I currently have for sale.

The shots were taken at dusk with a long focal length capable lens reducing the aperture to as low as possible to make the background look “soft”.

As you can see this shot is way better than 98% of photos you will find in ads for cars for sale in Brisbane.

If you decide to sell a nice car yourself, I can put you in contact with my photographer and he will do a good deal. Packages start from $70.

Or if you can’t be bothered, then of course I will be happy to meet with you and make an offer on your used car to take it off your hands with the very minimum of fuss!

Of if you prefer to message and want to either sell your car or have your car(s) photographed like this, simply advise me of the basic details of your used car by filling out the used car details form on the homepage.
