A Nice Subaru Impreza

People want to sell their car in Brisbane to me for a variety of reasons.

On this occasion, it wasn’t because they were moving.

Nor because they had bought a new car.

They didn’t bother getting in a trade-in price either.

They just couldn’t be bothered going to the effort of selling it themselves!

You see, if you haven’t already discovered, selling a car isn’t just as simple as putting a sign on it and next day money is in the bank.

You need to take photos.

Most people don’t go to too much effort with photos – which is crazy!

Yes it takes time, but this is your main pitch.

“A picture tells a thousand words” and “you never get a second chance at a first impression”.

Then you need to post your ad on an online website.

Carsales is the major site in the market here and will cost you a minimum of $60.

In Queensland, you cannot advertise a registered car for sale without a roadworthy certificate (safety certificate).

These cost about $80 from a licensed mechanic.

Usually you will need to do some repair work on most used cars to achieve a safety certificate.

Sometimes add thousands of dollars – e.g. steering control arms/bushes, suspension, oil leaks, seat belts, electrical, etc.

Most cars that have well maintained at regular intervals should only cost a few hundred dollars.

Oh and there’s the logistics of arranging all of this work to be done!

A safety certificate only lasts 1,000kms or 2 months.

So if you haven’t sold your car in this time – which happens a lot – you need to get another one.

Have you ever sold a car privately?

There are pitfalls of making many inspections with people who a lot of the tie are tyre kickers, want to bust you on price, or just don’t turn up when they said they would – if at all.

See why some people prefer just to call me and sell their car in a day?

Call me on 0411 362 229 and I’ll discuss some options of selling your car wholesale like this in Brisbane instead of privately.
